Regional Carts through the ages
Click on the timeline to see how our carts have evolved from having a generalized procedure cart, to a single regional-specific one used to travel long distance between operating rooms, to two identical carts that carried large amounts of supplies for multiple bays outfitted in allnumbed up colors and topped with the Regional Anesthesia Placemat, to our current six cart system designed to function efficiently—one small cart in each regional bay. Note that labeling of the contents of the drawers has undergone frequent modification—from generalized labels, to a list of components (too small to read), to numbers (too hard to remember), to colors (not really better than numbers), and back again to generalized labels.
